On Friday, September 16, 2016, we have scheduled maintenance on all public MODX Cloud platforms in Dallas, to improve the performance and uptime of all MODX Cloud sites. This procedure will relocate the MySQL database data on each platform to a new partition on a RAID disk. Private Server MODX Cloud platforms will not be impacted by this operation.
During this two hour maintenance window, we anticipate up to 20 minutes of downtime for sites on paas1.tx (TX1) and paas2.tx (TX2), though it could be up to one hour. The server will remain online during this maintenance window and should not require a reboot. Cached content that does not require database queries should continue to be served from NGINX. During this time all MODX Cloud Dashboard operations, such as Snapshots, Backups, new Cloud creations, and restores will be queued until after the maintenance is complete for each platform.
The maintenance operations are scheduled to start at 10PM US Central Time (22:00 UTC -6 ) for paas1.tx, and paas2.tx
