Brief Outage Due to Configuration Change

Some customers may have had sites unavailable for a brief period after we deployed a configuration change to one of our systems. We noticed that this change caused an issue and immediately reversed the change. This will not recur and we'll make no further changes.

Customers that host and manage their DNS with Network Solutions, Register.com and Web.com may be experiencing intermittent outages.

Site visitors trying to reach your websites will not be able to while these name servers are down. As this is how visitors are routed to your website, and not related to your hosting in MODX Cloud, there's nothing we can do to mitigate or resolve these outages.

We have seen a significant increase in outages at Network Solutions over the recent months. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do to resolve this in the short term. Typically, speaking the transition time to change your DNS provider is anywhere from 6-48 hours.

For better site reliability, we recommend managing your domains' DNS at another provider such as MODX Cloud, DNS Made Easy, or Cloudflare.
